"Stop saying thank you." "Why?" "Because I can see it in your face."

***

Our first taste of Croatia was a good one.

toast We discussed life over French toast and fresh-caught fish... (Not at the same meal.) 20140821-DSC_1191 Ate figs straight from the tree in the front yard...20140820-IMG_0487 Laughed ourselves silly over shots of homemade rakia...20140821-DSC_1173 Finally got the hang of riding a recumbent...20140826-DSC_1477 And were even given good-bye gifts of homemade and herb-infused olive oil!

*Davor, since I'm not allowed to say thank you, PUNO TI HVALA for showing us how very kind and generous Croatians can be. We had such a wonderful time getting to know you and your mom. Our visit with you was a highlight of our time in Croatia.

Justin I can’t help but notice how homophobically you are arched away from your very friendly shirtless host. Beth you are looking relaxed and happy as usual.
Beth just one request, just a photograph some some juicy lamb, you don’t have to eat it, we just need to see it, maybe just a shishkabob, those have vegetables in them. I’m hungry!!

Haha. Oh Richard, you have such a way with words. I”ll see what I can do about photographing a shish kabob for you.

I second Ricard’s suggestion of the occasional meat product. Think about your carnivorous chef cousin for a second and cater to my needs…

    Beth & Justin,
I have been following your blog and just love everything you two have been experiencing. I can see that you are having an amazing adventure. I envy your courage and will to take this opportunity to make these amazing memories and I’m glad you are cataloguing everything to share with all of us. Fort Worth wasn’t the same without you guys. Whenever you guys make it back we should plan to get together at some point. Fernando and I would love to make a trip out your guys’ way since we haven’t been to that area before. Can’t wait to read and see more of your adventures!
    Have fun and stay safe!

Hey, pretty lady! You are so sweet, and just as courageous I’m sure of it! I’m so happy to know that you are following along!! I bet Fort Worth wasn’t the same – you didn’t have anyone forcing you to order soft pretzels every single night. Haha! I’ll be sure to resume my role next year. 😉 Justin and I would LOVE to have you guys visit with us in New Hampshire. Woohoo – let’s make it happen!

Beth & Justin: We are stoked we found your blog, so we can follow along where you are in the world. Have fun, pedal hard, and we’ll keep your house clean until you get back 🙂
